Connect DeepL to your Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) platform and translate your stored files directly within AEM.
With the DeepL plugin, you can start a translation flow within AEM and track the process of your translation project in AEM or on the DeepL website.
The flow can include customization assets such as glossaries and style rules to ensure consistency throughout all translations.

After starting the translation, all steps defined in the translation flow will be conducted automatically: from the file upload to the quality assurance and review assignment.
Reach out to your Account Executive or Customer Success Manager to get access to the setup instructions of the DeepL plugin for AEM.
The DeepL plugin allows you to translate whole files via a translation flow. Single text translations are not supported via the plugin. To translate single words or phrases or improve your texts, use the DeepL browser extensions.

Translate files with translation flows
Before starting the translation, make sure both the translation flow and project that are connected to the DeepL plugin are set up correctly and shared with you. Learn more about the setting up translation flows here.
To translate contents in AEM with DeepL, do the following:
- Select the file you would like to translate
- Click Start DeepL Flow
- Select the languages you would like to translate into
- Click Send
To check the process of the translation, you have two options:
- Via the DeepL Translation Projects section on the AEM navigation page
- Via the connected project on the DeepL website under Projects
For both options, you can see the real-time status of the translations.
The files are automatically uploaded to DeepL and re-uploaded to AEM once the translations are done.
If a review is automatically assigned for a specific language in your flow, the file will automatically be uploaded to AEM once the review is done.
Learn more about reviewing translations here.
Limitations
Only one translation flow can be connected to the DeepL plugin for AEM. You can change the used flow within the settings of the DeepL connector in AEM.
Reach out to your Adobe Experience Manager engineering team, if you can't access the connector's settings.
The DeepL plugin is available for AEM as a cloud service and for AEM 6.5. For the latter, the setup varies slightly. Consult the setup instructions for more information.
For custom AEM setups, the DeepL plugin might not be supported. Reach out to your Account Executive or Customer Success Manager to discuss more options.
