How can I share glossaries?
Share a glossary
Before sharing a glossary, make sure that you've manually created or uploaded a glossary. To share your glossary, do the following:
- Open the glossary list next to the language selector
- Select Manage glossaries
- Select the glossary you want to share with your team
- Toggle on Share with team
Once you've shared a glossary with your team members they'll be notified about the shared glossary the next time they use DeepL Pro. They can also download the shared glossary.
You can also share your glossary with any other user of a DeepL Advanced or Ultimate plan, even if they aren't part of your team. To share your glossary with users outside of your team, download your glossary and send it to another DeepL Pro Advanced or Ultimate user. They'll be able to upload your glossary to their DeepL account for further use.
Edit shared glossaries
To edit your shared glossary, do the following:
- Open the glossary list next to the language selector
- Select Manage glossaries
- Select the shared glossary you want to edit.
Only the owner of the shared glossary can edit or delete it. You'll see a pen icon next to the glossaries which you can edit in your account.
Once you've edited the shared glossary, your team members will see the changes.
Stop sharing a glossary
To stop sharing your glossary, do the following:
- Open the glossary list next to the language selector
- Select Manage glossaries
- Select the glossary which you'd like to share with your team
- Toggle off Share with team
Your glossary will no longer be visible to your team members.
If the owner of the shared glossary leaves the team, the ownership of the shared glossary will be assigned to the team administrator, who will be able to edit, delete, or stop sharing this glossary.
