You can download your glossaries in the web translator and in the desktop apps.
If you have multiple glossaries, follow the following steps:
- Click Manage glossaries
- Select a glossary from the dropdown list
- Click Download
The selected glossary will be downloaded as a CSV file (comma-separated).
The downloaded glossary will include your glossary entries and language pair labels in the following order:
- The term in the source language
- The term in the target language
- The source language label
- The target language label
E.g., translate, traducir, EN, ES
If your glossary in DeepL Pro includes several language pairs (e.g., English into Spanish and English into French), the downloaded file will list your glossary entries in several language pairs as well.
E.g.,
translate, traducir, EN, ES
people, personnes, EN, FR
When using your downloaded in Microsoft Excel, we recommend importing your glossary, rather than opening the file with a double-click. For example, you can import your data to Microsoft Excel in one of the following ways depending on your version:
- File -> Open
- File -> Import -> CSV file
- Data -> Get data -> From text
When importing the data, follow the steps suggested in the wizard: your data is delimited, the file origin is Unicode (UTF-8), set Comma as a delimiter.
You can also upload the downloaded glossary if you want to use it again on DeepL Pro.To learn more about how to manage glossaries in our API, visit this article or our API documentation.
