You can share your glossary with other members of your team on web translator and in the desktop apps.
Share a glossary
- Open the glossary list next to the language selector
- Select Manage glossaries
- Select the glossary you want to share with your team
- Click Share
- To share a glossary with only certain team members, add their email address and click Add
or
To share a glossary with your whole team, toggle on Share with everyone
- Open the glossary list next to the language selector
- Select Manage glossaries
- Select the glossary you want to share with your team
- Toggle on Share with team
Once you’ve shared a glossary with your team members they’ll receive a notification the next time they use DeepL. They can also download the shared glossary.
Edit a shared glossary
Only team members with editing rights or glossary owners can make changes to a shared glossary.
- Open the glossary list next to the language selector
- Select Manage glossaries
- Select the shared glossary you want to edit.
Only the owner or a team member with editing rights of the shared glossary can edit or delete it. You'll see a pen icon next to the glossaries which you can edit in your account.
Once you've edited the shared glossary, your team members will see the changes.
Stop sharing a glossary
Only team members with editing rights or glossary owners can stop sharing a glossary.
To stop sharing a glossary on web, do the following:
- Open the glossary list next to the language selector
- Select Manage glossaries
- Select the glossary you want to stop sharing
- Click Share
- Toggle off Share with everyone
To stop sharing a glossary in the desktop apps, do the following:
- Open the glossary list next to the language selector
- Select Manage glossaries
- Select the glossary which you'd like to stop sharing
- Toggle off Share with team
Your glossary will no longer be visible to your team members.
If the owner of the shared glossary leaves the team and no other team member has editing rights, the ownership of the shared glossary will be assigned to the team administrator.
