As an admin, you can connect external experts to your DeepL subscription so that they can be assigned as reviewers for translated files.
Learn more about access restrictions and limitations of the external reviewer feature in this article.
Connect an external editor to your organization
- Go to your DeepL account
- Navigate to External reviewers
- Click Invite reviewers
- Enter the email address of the external expert
- Click Send invites
The invited reviewer will appear under Sent invites. Once the external reviewer accepts the invite, they will be listed under Active reviewers.
You can find all external reviewers that connected to your organization in the Active reviewers list. Here, you can also see who invited them and since when they are active.
While the invite status is Pending you can also withdraw the invite. Click the Withdraw button next to the respective external reviewer.
After an external reviewer accepts the invite and becomes an active reviewer, you can still remove them as follows:
- Navigate to the reviewer you would like to remove
- Click the three dots next in their list entry
- Select Remove
After they are removed, they can no longer be assigned to file translation reviews within your organization. They will also lose access to the previous reviews they have been assigned to.
Assign an external editor as reviewer
Once an external reviewer is invited and has accepted the invitation, they can be assigned to a review by anyone within your organization.
You can assign an external reviewer directly after the translation of your file, or as part of a translation flow.
The review request process is the same as for internal reviewers. External reviewers will be highlighted with "(external)" next to their email address.
