Bring in external experts you worked with before as reviewers for your translation projects within DeepL.
As an admin, you can invite external experts to your DeepL subscription with limited access via the external reviewer feature. Once they are connected to your organization, they can be assigned as reviewers for translated files.
External reviewers could be in-country reviewers, subject matter experts, or language service providers that are not part of your organization, but you partnered with before.
By bringing those experts in for review directly within the DeepL user interface, you will not only save time with tool and stakeholder management.
Your future DeepL translations can also benefit from the review due to the changes from the review being captured in your existing customization assets (e.g., glossaries and translation memories).
Find step-by-step instructions for inviting external reviewers to your organization in this article.
If you are assigned as an external reviewer, you can find more information about the review process here.
Access management
Only team admins can invite external experts to an organization.
As an admin, you can view a list of all active and invited external reviewers in your account under External reviewers.
You can invite and remove external reviewers at any time.
When an external expert is connected to your organization via this feature, they can only access the translated files they are assigned to review.
They can not use the DeepL services included in your organization's subscription or access any other stored translations or assets.
If the external expert has an active DeepL Pro subscription, your organization can also not access any translation assets stored in the external expert's account.
Limitations
- The external expert must be located in the same region as your organization.
- The external expert must have a DeepL account.
- The external expert needs to be known by you or your organization. It is not possible to source an external expert within the DeepL user interface.
