Domain capture allows admins to control who in their organization can sign-up and join the team. To capture new users who sign up using their work email, you need to add your organization's email domains to your team account. For more information about domain capture, see this article.
To use domain capture for multiple domains or subdomains, add all of them to your DeepL account settings and create a text record in your DNS settings. You can add subdomains with wildcard syntax, such as the following, which covers any subdomain and depth.
*.mycompany.comIf you only want to add specific subdomains, add them individually.
Add domain
- Go to the Settings tab in your DeepL account
- In the Team | Domain capture section, click Add domain
- Enter your domain under Domain name for verification in the format mycompany.com and for subdomains *.mycompany.com or sub.mycompany.com
- Copy the code provided in the DeepL settings
If necessary, contact your internal IT admin to change the DNS settings in the next step.
Change DNS settings
- Go to your domain provider
- Create a new text record
- Add the code you copied from the DeepL settings

If no subscription is linked to the selected group, users will have access to the free version of DeepL unless you have disabled access to the free version of DeepL for logged-in users. For more information, see this article. - User from mycompany.com: If you select this option, a group is automatically created and users who try to sign up with an email address from a verified domain are added to this group.
