With domain capture, admins can control which users in their organization can create a DeepL account while using a company email address. Admins can automatically invite captured users to join their team or prevent them from signing up altogether.
When single sign-on (SSO) is enabled, the option to add users to the team via
domain capture is unavailable and only sign up can be prevented. User provisioning
is managed through the identity provider.
With domain capture, admins can control the following:
- New sign-ups: When an employee creates a DeepL account with a company email address from a verified domain, they are automatically captured and the admin's configured action is applied.
- Existing free users: When a domain is activated, DeepL scans for existing free accounts already using an email address from the verified domain. These users appear as discovered users under the Users tab, and the admin can decide what to do with them.
With domain capture, admins can apply the following actions:
- Automatically capture users who sign up with an email address from a verified domain
- Invite captured users to the team as Pro or free users
- Prevent users from signing up for the free version of DeepL with their company email address
- Add discovered existing free users to the team or block their access to the free version of DeepL
