If login to the desktop app via SSO is not working as expected, first check whether you can log in via SSO on the web translator.
- If you can’t log in via SSO on any platform, you should contact DeepL Support. (If you receive any error messages, share these with our Support Team to help them understand the issue).
- If you can log in with SSO on the web translator, but the SSO login on the desktop app doesn’t work as expected (e.g., a spinning wheel is shown), you can the troubleshooting steps below.
Change default browser
You can change your default browser (e.g., Chrome to Firefox) in the settings of your device.
- Go to the Windows Start menu
- Click on the Settings icon
- Select Apps
- Choose Default apps
- Change the setting under Web browser
Once you've changed your default browser, you can try to log in via SSO on your app again.
- Go to the System Settings
- Select Desktop & Dock
- Choose your default web browser
Fully close and restart the browser
Close all open browser windows and restart the browser. Once this is done, try to log in via SSO on your app again.
Clear browser cookies
If login via SSO still doesn't work, clear the browser cookies. You can check the support site of your browser for instructions. Once this is done, try to log in via SSO on your app again.
Reboot your device
If you still see the spinning wheel after following the steps above, try rebooting your computer. Once this is done, try to log in via SSO on your app again.
