A user can have access to more than one DeepL product, for example Translator and Voice. License assignment is based on the groups a user belongs to and the subscriptions linked to those groups. Find out more about group management in this article.
Depending on your user management strategy, you have two options to give access to several DeepL products:
- Create a group for each subscription. Add the user to several groups. The user now has access to the subscriptions linked to those groups. This is recommended if the subscriptions have a different number of licenses.
- Create a specific group to which several subscriptions are linked. Add the user to that group only. The user now has access to all subscriptions linked to that group.
- If SSO is enabled for your team, all team members are always part of the default group. Read more about the default group in this article.
For example, you have purchased a Translator subscription that is linked to the default group. After the purchase of a Voice subscription you can link it to the default group as well if it has the same number of licenses as the Translator subscription. If not, create an additional group and link the Voice subscription to it. Add users you want to receive a Voice license to that group.
- Several groups can have the same subscription constellation. However, one group cannot be linked to two subscriptions of the same product (e.g., a DeepL Pro Team and a DeepL Pro Business subscription).
- If a user is added to two groups that both provide access to the same product, they will receive a licence from the more valuable subscription.
