In Excel file translations, the following parts will be translated:
- Text in cells
- File name
- Sheet name
- Chart title
- Graphs
- Notes
- Comments
Hidden columns, rows, and sheets will also be translated.
It is not possible to exclude specific parts of the file from translation.
The following parts will not be translated in the translated file:
- Formulas: Formulas will not be applied in the translated file. Only the result of the formula will be visible in the translation.
- Images: Text embedded in images will not be translated. The original image will be visible in the translated file.
Troubleshooting
Wrong file format
If you are unable to select an Excel file for translation, ensure that the file is in the correct file format. Only Excel files with the file format XLSX are supported for the document translation feature. Other file formats, such as XLS or XLSM, cannot be selected for translation.File can't be selected for translation
The file format of the Excel file might not be correct. Check the file ending of your file to make sure it is supported. Also, check to ensure that the file is not open.Translation quality insufficient
Ensure that your Excel file does not contain more than one source language.
