Can I translate with DeepL while browsing?
Yes, it is possible to enjoy DeepL’s translation quality without ever leaving your browser. With the DeepL Translate for Chrome and Microsoft Edge extensions, you can translate text while you read and write directly in your browser.
Currently, we don’t offer extensions for other browsers.
For Chrome
DeepL Translate for Chrome is available in the Chrome Web Store, and it is free of charge.
To install the extension, please do the following:
- Open the Chrome Web Store
- Click Add to Chrome
- Click Add extension
Once the extension is added, a pop-up message will appear in the top-right corner.
To easily manage the DeepL Translate extension, pin it to the Chrome toolbar via the Extensions button. This is the button that looks like a small puzzle piece in your browser's toolbar . If you click on this button, a drop-down will show all the extensions which are installed and enabled. You can pin or unpin the DeepL extension to show or hide it in the toolbar at any time.
For Edge
DeepL Translate for Edge is available via the Microsoft Edge Add-ons page and is also free of charge.
To install the extension, please do the following:
- Open the Microsoft Edge Add-ons page
- Click Get
- Click Add extension
