With the DeepL browser extension for Chrome, Microsoft Edge, or Firefox you can use DeepL directly in Google Slides to translate or improve your texts. Learn how to get started with DeepL browser extensions here.
To disable DeepL for Google Slides, click the DeepL icon at the top of the page. Click the toggle switch next to Turn DeepL for Google Slides on/off
.
You can enable DeepL for Google Slides at any time through the toggle switch.
Translate the whole slide or text excerpts on your slide.
To translate the whole slide, do the following:
- Click the DeepL icon
on the slide
- Select a language pair (e.g., translate from language X into language Y)
- Click Translate
All text on your slide will be translated. This doesn't include comments or speaker notes.
To translate certain text on your slides, do the following:
- Select the text you want to translate
- Click the DeepL icon
on the slide
- Select a language pair (e.g., translate from language X into language Y)
- Click Translate
The selected text will be translated instantly.
Improve the text on your slides; fix spelling and grammar errors, and enhancing the style of your writing. See which languages are supported for this feature here.
To improve the whole slide:
- Click the DeepL icon
on the slide
- Choose your From language (you can ignore the To field - this is for the Translator)
- Click Improve
To improve certain text on your slides, do the following:

- Click the DeepL icon
on the slide
- Choose your From language (you can ignore the To field - this is for the Translator)
- Click Improve
