Can I use DeepL in Google Slides?
Yes, with the DeepL browser extension for Chrome, Microsoft Edge, or Firefox you can use DeepL directly in Google Slides to translate or improve your texts.
You just need to make sure that you have added the DeepL browser extension to your browser. More information about how to add the extension to your browser can be found in this article.

Translate text in Google Slides
When translating your texts in Google Slides, you can either translate the whole slide or only parts of it.
To translate the whole slide:
- Click on the DeepL icon in the lower right-hand corner of the slide
- Select a language you would like to translate your text into
- Click on Translate
All text on your slide will be translated. This doesn't include comments or speaker notes.
You also have the option to only translate certain text on your slides. To so do:
- Select the text you would like to translate
- Click on the DeepL icon in the lower right-hand corner of the slide
- Select a language you would like to translate your text into
- Click on Translate
The selected text will be translated instantly.
Improve text in Google Slides
You can also use the DeepL browser extension to improve the text on your slides by fixing spelling and grammar errors and enhancing the style of your writing. It works similarly to the Translate functionality.
To improve the whole slide:
- Click on the DeepL icon in the lower right-hand corner of the slide
- If needed, change the original language of your text
- Click on Improve
Please note that the Improve functionality is only available for English and German texts.
You also have the option to only improve certain text on your slides. To so do:
- Select the text you would like to improve
- Click on the DeepL icon in the lower right-hand corner of the slide
- If needed, change the original language of your text
- Click on Improve
Manage DeepL for Google Slides
To disable DeepL for Google Slides, click the DeepL icon at the top of the page. Click the toggle switch next to Turn DeepL for Google Slides on/off .
You can enable DeepL for Google Slides at any time through the toggle switch.
