When translating files with DeepL's file translation feature, you can add a watermark to all pages of the translated document.
The watermark reads "Translated by DeepL" and is placed diagonal across the page. The text of the watermark will not be translated and will remain in English regardless of the selected target language.
The watermark feature is available for translations of PDF and DOCX files on web, in the desktop apps, and via DeepL's API.
Team admins need to enable this feature in their admin settings for their team.
To add a watermark, do the following:
- Go to Translate files on DeepL's website or click the Translate files tab in the desktop apps
- Open the toolbar
- Under File translation tools click the toggle switch next to Watermark
Enable the watermark feature for team members
If you are using DeepL as part of a team subscription, your admin needs to enable the watermark feature in their settings first.
As an admin, follow these steps to enable the feature for your team:
- Log in to your account
- Navigate to Settings
- Go to Security and scroll down to Apply the ‘Translated by DeepL’ watermark to documents
- Click the toggle switch to enable it for your team
- Optional: Click the toggle switch under Allow members to change the watermark per translation to allow team members to decide for each translation, if a watermark should be applied
Enable watermarks for file translation by default by activating
the settings under Watermark new translations by default. Watermarks
can still be disabled for file translations by users.
