DeepL AI connectors let AI assistants, such as chat interfaces, agents, and coding assistants, connect directly to your DeepL account. This lets you use DeepL without leaving the AI assistant. An AI assistant can then use DeepL's capabilities via the Model Context Protocol (MCP) within your AI assistant session. The MCP is an open standard that allows AI assistants to connect to external tools and data sources in a standardized way.
Once connected, an AI assistant can use your DeepL account to do the following:
- Translate text in all languages supported by DeepL
- Translate documents while keeping the formatting
- Rephrase text in a selected tone and style or correct its punctuation and grammar (Available with Write Pro. For more information, see the pricing page.)
- Apply customizations, like glossaries, style rules, and style profiles defined for your organization when translating
- Change or create customizations, like glossaries, style rules, and style profile
Currently, the following features are only available on deepl.com and not from your AI assistant: sharing glossaries or style rules, checking usage or billing, translation memory, and voice features.
