While using the DeepL browser extension, you can translate text from an image by taking a screenshot. The text is extracted using optical character recognition (OCR) and translated directly in the browser extension's sidebar.
Before translating an image, make sure you have the DeepL browser extension installed. This feature is supported in the DeepL for Chrome and DeepL for Edge extensions.

To translate an image online, do the following:
- Open a page you would like to translate
- Do a right click on the page and select DeepL: translate and write with AI
- Select Translate via screen capture
- Drag the crosshair cursor
to select the area of the screen to capture
- The text will be extracted and inserted into the sidebar
