Use the translation history feature

Overview

The translation history feature makes it possible for both free users and Pro subscribers to have their past translations saved, so they can view, edit, and reuse them later. With this feature enabled, we'll store your translations temporarily.

Tip: If you want to save some of your translations for an unlimited period of time, you can add them to your Favorites.

Use translation history in the desktop apps

Enable and disable translation history

1. Click the menu icon
2. Go to Settings
3. Under Translation history click Enabled or Disabled

Access translation history entries

1. Click the History button in the lower right-hand corner of the source text field
2. Click on History
3. Select an entry you would like to use

Delete translation history entries

To delete individual history entries, do the following:

1. Click the History button in the lower right-hand corner of the source text field
2. Click History
3. Click the trash bin icon next to an entry
4. Confirm the deletion in the next dialog

Note: Once an entry has been deleted, it can’t be restored.

To delete your whole history at once, do the following:

1. Click the History button in the lower right-hand corner of the source text field
2. Click History
3. Click  Clear history in the upper right-hand corner of the app
4. Confirm the deletion in the next dialog

Use translation history in the mobile apps

Enable and disable translation history

1. Tap on account menu  
2. Under Translation tab on Translation history
3. Tap on the toggle switch to enable or disable the feature

Access translation history entries

1. Tap on bookmark icon at the upper right-hand corner of the screen
2. Tap on History
3. Select an entry you would like to use
4. (Optional) Tap X to close the entry

Delete translation history entries

To delete individual history entries, do the following:

1. Tap on bookmark icon at the upper right-hand corner of the screen
2. Tap on History
3. Swipe an entry to the left

Note: You can undo the deletion of single entries directly after you've deleted them.

To delete your whole history at once, do the following:

1. Tap on bookmark icon  at the upper right-hand corner of the screen
2. Tap on History
3. For Android: Tap the trash icon on your Android
   or
   For iOS: Tap the three dots
4. Confirm the deletion in the next dialog

Note: Once your whole history has been deleted, it can’t be restored.
