Use DeepL Voice for Conversations in mobile apps

DeepL Voice for Conversations can be accessed via the icon in the DeepL mobile apps. Learn more about DeepL Voice for Conversations.

Access and use DeepL Voice for Conversations

1. Open the DeepL mobile app
2. Log in using your DeepL credentials
3. Tap the Conversations icon at the top of the screen
4. Select a language pair
5. Tap the microphone  next to your spoken language and speak naturally
6. DeepL will transcribe and translate your speech

All languages supported for speech-to-text translation will have a microphone icon next to them. For languages that are not supported, you can tap the keyboard icon , type your message, and tap Done.

Enable Face-to-face mode

Face-to-face mode splits the screen in two to enable face-to-face conversations, so that the device can be positioned between the speakers. 

1. Tap the icon
2. Select Face-to-face mode

Share transcript

The Share transcript feature allows you to preserve your conversation's transcript and translation for record keeping or to share with others.

To access this feature, ensure you have app version: 

• iOS: App version 25.1 or later
• Android: App version 25.3 or later

To share your transcript, follow the following steps:

1. Tap the icon
2. Select Share transcript
3. Choose your preferred sharing method

There are many available sharing options, depending on the apps you have on your device. See a few available option below:

• Tap Copy , then manually paste in your preferred location
• Select an app (e.g., Gmail, Outlook, etc.) to share the transcript (this will copy the content to the chosen app)
• Tap Save to Files to save a conversation to your device (a .txt file will be created and added to your Downloads folder) (iOS only)
