Group conversations lets multiple people speak and understand each other in real time, each in their own language using a headset.
Anyone with a Voice for Conversations plan can start a group conversation with up to 20 participants (including the organiser). The organiser can invite others to join by sharing a link or QR code. Participant don't need a license or app to join the conversation.
Group conversations is available on iOS, Android, and Web.

Create a group conversation
- Open the DeepL app
- Tap Voice for Conversations
- Select Group conversation BETA
- Enter your name and select your language
- Tap Start group conversation
- Tap the QR icon
- Share the QR code or link with your participants
- Go to deepl.com/voice/conversations
- Select Group Conversation
- Enter your name and select your language
- Click Start group conversation
- Click the QR icon
- Share the QR code or link with your participants
Join a group conversation
- Open the link or scan the QR code shared by the host
- Enter your name and select your language
- Tap/click Join
If you have the DeepL app, the conversation will open there. Otherwise, it will open the conversation in a web page.

- Connect your headset
- Press and hold the mic button to speak, then release when you're done
- To configure your preferences in the mobile apps, tap the Settings icon
