How can I delete my browsing data/cookies on different browsers?

If you run into issues with our web translator or your account, deleting your browser data or cookies of your browser might help.

Cookies are small text files created by the websites you visit. They store information about your visit, for example, whether you are logged in or which settings you chose. They can make your visit on a website easier, and they can also be necessary for certain functions on a website.

In this article, you'll learn more about how to delete cookies for the following browsers:

• Chrome
• Safari
• Microsoft Edge
• Firefox

Please note that the instructions might vary depending on your browser version and your device's operating system. For more information, check the browser's support center.

Chrome

To delete the cookies of your browser:

1. Open the browser
2. Click  in the top right corner to open more options
3. Go to Settings
4. On the left-hand sidebar select Privacy and security
5. Click on Clear browsing data
6. Choose a time range. To delete everything, select All time
7. Check the boxes next to Cookies and other site data and Cached images and files
8. Confirm by clicking on Clear data

Please note that clearing the cache and cookies will log you out of all websites you're logged in to. 

On Safari

To delete the cookies of your browser:

1. Open the browser
2. Go to Safari in the menu bar in the top left corner
3. Go to Preferences and select Privacy
4. Click Manage Website Data
5. To delete the website's data, select the affected website from the list and click Remove
   or
   To delete everything, click Remove all
6. Close the window by clicking Done

On Microsoft Edge

To delete the cookies of your browser:

1. Open the browser
2. Click on in the top right corner to open more options
3. Go to Settings and select Privacy, Search and Services
4. Click on Choose what to clear under Clear browsing data
5. Choose a time range. To delete everything, select All Time
6. Check the boxes next to Cookies and other site data and Cached images and files
7. Confirm by clicking on Clear Now

On Firefox

To delete the cookies of your browser:

1. Open the browser
2. Click on in the top-right corner to open more options
3. Go to Settings and then Privacy & Security
4. Scroll down to the Cookies and Site Data section
5. Click on Manage Data...
6. A new window will open, called Manage Cookies and Site Data, where you can view all cookies saved from the sites you visited
7. To delete all cookies, click on Remove All
   or
   To only delete cookies from certain sites, select the website and click on Remove Selected
8. Confirm by clicking on Save Changes
