What is a log file and how can I get it?
A log file is where events that occur as the software runs are recorded.
If your DeepL app for Windows / for Mac doesn't work as expected, please attach your log file when contacting DeepL Support. It will help our technical team understand the issue better and solve it faster.
Below, you can learn how to export your log file depending on your app and operating system.
For Windows:
You can access the log file for your DeepL app for Windows in your Settings, under About. To export the log file, click on the Export Log Files button.
Next, a dialog will open asking you to enter a name and select a location for the log file. Click on Save to confirm the name and location of your log file.
After your log file has been exported successfully, a confirmation message will appear. In this message, you can click on the Go to folder link to be forwarded directly to your saved log file.
Please attach the log file to your request.
For Mac:
