What is the difference between a team admin and a team member?
With a team subscription, multiple users can access DeepL plans by using the same subscription, according to the number of licenses included.
Each user in the team should have a license. This applies to team admins and all other team members.
Please note that multiple users can’t share the same license. This means that each user should have their own DeepL account with their personal login credentials. Team members of a team using SSO can log in via their identity service provider and don't need separate DeepL login credentials.
The accounts are bound to the same team subscription, which is managed by one or more team admins. Therefore, admins have extended rights in contrast to other team members.
Team members have the right to:
- View and change their login credentials
- Access and create their Authentication Key for CAT tool plug-ins (only for DeepL Pro Advanced/Ultimate)
- Monitor their own usage in terms of documents translated
In addition, team admins have the right to:
- Change the plan (upgrade/downgrade)
- Change the billing period (monthly/annual)
- Cancel the subscription
- Access payment details, billing information, and invoices
- Access team analytics to view the number of translated characters and documents (via the Analytics tab in the admin's account)
- Invite, deactivate, or remove team members
- Assign or revoke admin access
- Set document translation limits for team members
To be able to leave the team, a team admin must ask another team admin to revoke their admin access. They will then become a team member and can leave the team on their own.
