I'm a team admin. How can I reassign my team admin rights to someone else?
This article helps you learn more about how to reassign team admin rights for the following scenarios:
For teams with multiple admins
If your team has multiple admins, you can ask one of the other team admins to revoke your admin rights.
To revoke admin rights:
- Log in with your DeepL account
- Navigate to the Team tab and scroll down to the list of all team members under Your team
- Search for the team member you'd like to remove as an admin
- Next to the member's name, click on the icon
- Click on Revoke admin access
- A new window will open, asking you to confirm your decision
- Click on Revoke admin
You will no longer have admin rights but will still be part of the team subscription as a team member. If you would like to leave the team, the new admin can remove you from the team or you can log in and use the Leave team button in self service.
For teams with only one admin
If your team doesn't have any other admins, you can assign admin rights to another member of your team. You'll find more information on how to do so in this article.
After assigning admin rights to another team admin, they can revoke your own admin rights as described above.
You will no longer have admin rights but will still be part of the team subscription as a team member. If you would like to leave the team, the new administrator can remove you from the team or you can log in and use the Leave team button in self service.
Assigning admin rights to a person who isn't a part of the team yet
If you would like to assign admin rights to someone who isn't a part of your team subscription yet, you first need to add them as a new team member. You can learn more about how to invite new users to your team subscription here.
After adding them to your team subscription, assign them admin rights as described in this article. If you would like to revoke your own admin rights, you can ask the new team admin to revoke your admin rights as described above.
