On which platforms can I set a tone for my translations?

For DeepL Pro subscribers (Starter, Advanced, and Ultimate)
You can use the formal/informal feature for text translation in the web translator, the desktop and mobile apps, the browser extensions, and in the different DeepL add-ins for Microsoft 365.
You can also use the formal/informal feature for document translation in the desktop apps and in the web translator.
The feature is supported for text and document translation in our API for CAT tools, so CAT tool providers can implement support for this feature in their software.
For DeepL API Free and DeepL API Pro subscribers
You can use the formal/informal feature for text and document translation by defining the formality parameter. To do so, please choose between default (automatic choice), more (formal tone) or less (informal tone). For more information, please consult the API documentation.
