Save your translations manually to pick up where you left off using the saved translation feature.
This feature is available for the web translator, desktop apps, and mobile apps. Learn more about how to save your translations on web and in the DeepL desktop apps below.

Save a translation on web
- Log in to your DeepL account
- Enter text for translation
- Click the bookmark icon in the target text area
- Your translation is saved and you are forwarded to the saved translation page
- Above the text translation area, you can view the title of your saved translation entry
- A cloud icon with a checkmark next to the title shows that the entry was successfully saved
To view your saved translations, click the bookmark on the left-hand side of the page. A new page will open, where you can view all saved translation entries.
Each saved translation entry has an editable title and a creation and modification date. To rename, duplicate or delete your saved translation, click the three-dot menu icon above the translator area.
You can save translations for any language pair available on DeepL Translator.
Your translations are displayed in reverse chronological order: newest translations are displayed first.
There is no character input limit for DeepL Pro subscribers. If you cancel your subscription and you are not part of a team subscription, you still have access to all saved translation entries. However in entries with more than 5000 characters in the original text, characters exceeding this limit will be lost.
Save a translation on Windows
To access the saved translation feature on the Windows desktop app, you need to have a DeepL Pro subscription.
To save a translation, do the following:
- Log in to your DeepL account
- Enter text for translation
- Click the bookmark icon next to the translation result on the right side. Once your translation is saved, the bookmark icon will change color
Alternatively, you can use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+S to save a translation.
To view your saved translations, click the Saved tab in the top panel.
Here you can switch between your translation history entries and your saved translation entries. Click Favorites to access your saved translations. You can see the number of translations you have already saved next to the Favorites tabs in brackets.
Above each translation you have saved, the source language and the target language are displayed. You can save translations for each language pair available on DeepL Translator. Note that your saved translations will not be sorted by language.

To access the saved translation feature on the Mac desktop app, you need to have a DeepL Pro subscription.
To save a translation, do the following:
- Log in to your DeepL account.
- Enter text for translation
- Click on the bookmark icon next to the translation result on the right side. Once your translation is saved, the bookmark icon will change color
Alternatively, you can use the keyboard shortcut ⌘+S to save a new translation.
To view your saved translations, click the Saved tab in the top panel.
Here you can switch between your translation history entries and your saved translation entries. Click Favorites to access your saved translations. You can see the number of translations you have already saved next to the Favorites tabs in brackets.
For each entry, the source text will be displayed on top of the respective target text. It also shows the number of characters for the source and target language.
You can save translations for each language pair available on DeepL Translator. Note that your saved translations will not be sorted by language.
