Can I upload Glossaries?
For free users:
No, you cannot upload Glossaries. If you are using the free version of DeepL Translator, you can manually create your own Glossary and add up to 10 entries.
For DeepL Pro Starter subscribers:
No, you cannot upload Glossaries. With your DeepL Pro Starter subscription, you can manually create your own Glossary and add as many entries as you wish.
For DeepL Pro Advanced and Ultimate subscribers:
Yes, you can upload Glossaries. With your DeepL Pro Advanced or DeepL Pro Ultimate subscription, you can create Glossaries manually or upload your existing Glossaries via CSV file. You will find both options at the bar located at the top of the Glossary window. To upload your Glossary, select a CSV file, choose a separator, and specify the language pair.
When uploading your Glossary, please keep in mind the following formatting guidelines:
- Your file should include only one language pair (e.g., English into German).
- The first row of the CSV file should start with the first entry (e.g., artist;Maler).
- Your file should not include any comments.
- Your file can include up to 5000 entries.
For DeepL API Free and DeepL API Pro subscribers:
The Glossary feature is not yet supported in translations via the API.
