Troubleshoot by issue

General guidance
The DeepL Voice bot doesn't join the meeting
  • Make sure you have an active DeepL Voice for Meetings license
    To find out about your license, log into your DeepL account to see your active subscriptions (you should see DeepL Voice for Meetings listed)
  • Make sure you are logged in to the DeepL Voice app within Microsoft Teams
  • Check to see if the bot has requested to join the meeting within Microsoft Teams
  • Check that your Microsoft administrator has configured permissions as needed
The DeepL Voice app isn't visible to internal colleagues
  • Check that your organization has migrated its Microsoft tenant to app centric management
  • Check that your Microsoft administrator has made the DeepL Voice app available to all (or targeted) users in Microsoft Teams administration center
  • Check that the Microsoft administrator has pinned the DeepL Voice app for all (or targeted) users
  • Check if the DeepL Voice app is visible on the desktop app and on web (the mobile app might have limitations)
  • Check that your screen is not too zoomed in and that the screen resolution is not too low. In this case the DeepL Voice app might be hidden in the more options icon ellipsis.svg in the Teams toolbar.
The DeepL Voice app is not visible for external participants
  • Check that external guests/ anonymous user participation is allowed in your organization
  • Learn how apps work for external/anonymous users
  • Check that external/anonymous user are invited via calendar meeting invite and that they join via the invitation link (they should not join the meeting via direct link sharing)
  • Check that your Microsoft administrator has enabled anonymous users to interact with apps in meetings

Troubleshooting

  • Click the Chat button in the Microsoft Teams toolbar. This can trigger a visibility refresh in Teams.
  • Remove the app manually, then add it to the meeting again manually:
  1. Click the DeepL Voice app in the toolbar
  2. Click the more options icon in the DeepL Voice tab ellipsis.svg 
  3. Click Remove, then Remove to confirm
  4. Click Apps 5f317b52-bf1c-489e-9672-8d066581eda1, then search for and select DeepL Voice
  5. Log in and click Enable translation
Issues adding tabs or apps to a meeting
  • Ensure that you have the following team member permissions enabled:
    • Allow members to add and remove apps
    • Allow members to create, update, and remove tabs
  • If you are using "Pinned Apps" in Teams, try unpinning the DeepL Voice app
DeepL app panel is only partially visible
  • Due to a known issue, users may only see part of the DeepL Voice app panel in the web version of Microsoft Teams. We recommend switching to the Microsoft Teams desktop client.
