My admin has disabled saved translations, can I still access them?
If you are using DeepL as part of a team subscription, your team admin has the option to disable the saved translation feature for your whole team.
This will remove your access to your saved translation entries on the web translator and DeepL for Windows app.
On the web translator and DeepL for Windows app, saved translation entries are stored securely by DeepL. This allows users to access their saved translations across different devices. Your team admin might restrict the usage of this feature due to data security regulations in your company.
You can still access your saved translation entries in the DeepL for Mac app and in the mobile apps, even if your team admin has disabled the feature. All saved translation entries on these platforms are stored locally on your device.
For Windows
If you were using the saved translation feature on the DeepL for Windows app, you can still access and export your locally stored saved translations. To do so:
- Open the DeepL for Windows app
- A pop-up will appear asking you to download your saved translation entries
- Click Export saved translations
- Your saved translations will be exported as a CSV file
A new window will open where you can choose the location and name of your file.
Important: The pop-up will not reappear once dismissed or closed.
Alternatively, you can access your saved translation via your app’s settings and download them as a CSV file. To access your locally stored saved translations:
- Go to your app’s settings under
- Navigate to Files & translation
- Click on Export saved translations
- Your saved translations will be exported as a CSV file
