I want to pre-install the DeepL for Microsoft 365 add-ins throughout my organization. How can I do this?
You can deploy the DeepL for Microsoft 365 integrations across your organization.
This allows you to pre-install the DeepL add-ins either for a specific group of users or throughout your entire organization. As an admin, you will have full control over all the management actions of the deployed add-in(s).
A Microsoft administrator account holder within your organization needs to follow the instructions below.
We recommend the use of the Integrated Apps approach:
- Go to the Microsoft 365 Admin Center
- Navigate to Settings, then select Integrated Apps
- At the top of the Integrated Apps page, click Add-ins
- Continue with the deployment as described under Deployment options
Note: This feature is only available to a Global Administrator, Azure Application Administrator or Exchange Administrator in your Office organization.
If Integrated Apps is not available to you:
- Go to the Microsoft 365 Admin Center
- From Settings, navigate to Centralized Deployment
- Select Add-ins
- Continue with the deployment as described under Deployment options
Deployment options
You can deploy an add-in by either selecting it from the official store or by adding it via an application manifest.xml.
To select an add-in from the official store:
- Click Choose from the Store
- Select the DeepL add-ins you would like to deploy
Depending on your organization, access to or selection within the store may be restricted by company policy. If that's the case, you can add the DeepL add-ins to your deployed add-ins by uploading them via a manifest.xml file.
Find and download the manifest for our add-ins here:
- Microsoft Word: https://addins.deepl.com/word/manifest.xml
- Microsoft Outlook: https://addins.deepl.com/outlook/manifest.xml
- Microsoft PowerPoint: https://addins.deepl.com/powerpoint/manifest.xml
You can then upload the manifest.xml as a custom app and roll it out to your organization, just like any other add-in from the store.
For more information about uploading the manifest.xml and restricting user access to the add-ins, see the Microsoft Deployment Guide.
